This map poster shows the physical aspects of Antarctica, the southernmost continent which contains the geographic South Pole. Antarctica is situated in the Southern Hemisphere and is surrounded by the Southern Ocean. At 14,200,000 square kilometres, it is the fifth-largest continent, nearly twice the size of Australia. It is most definitely the least populated continent, with around 5,000 people in the summer and around 1,000 in the winter. Around 98% of Antarctica is covered by ice, on average 1.9 km thicks, which covers all but the McMurdo Dry Valleys and the northernmost reaches of the Antarctic Peninsula.

Our Physical Map of Antarctica is vibrant and informative, with easy-to-read text and bright colours. Including mountains, peaks, ice shelves, oceans, coast lines and more. The physical aspects such as land elevation are clearly showed and makes for an attractive map either for the home, office or school, for display on a wall or for desk work.
