Antarctica is situated in the Southern Hemisphere and is surrounded by the Southern Ocean. At 14,200,000 square kilometres, it is the fifth-largest continent, nearly twice the size of Australia. It is most definitely the least populated continent, with around 5,000 people in the summer and around 1,000 in the winter. Around 98% of Antarctica is covered by ice, on average 1.9 km thicks, which covers all but the McMurdo Dry Valleys and the northernmost reaches of the Antarctic Peninsula.

Our Political Map of Antarctica is vibrant and informative, with easy-to-read text and bright colours. Including capital cities, rivers, major roadways, towns and surrounding bodies of water. The political aspects such as state and national boundaries and capital and major cities are included and makes for an attractive map either for the home, office or school.
